Ha una voce eccezionale, ed i testi molto cazzutii testi non li ho letti, ed ascoltando solo e’ difficile capire tutte le parole, non ho quindi un opinione in merito

L’ho ascoltato ripetutamente piu’ volte, musicalmente mi piace, ma la voce no.
E’ proprio questo il punto debole.
Essendo proprio l’uso della voce growl con cantato in italiano la particolarita’ del gruppo (cosa rara nel nostro panorama musicale) il voto non puo’ che essere negativo.
Colpa del cantante ? Oppure e’ il cantato in italiano il problema ? Ho sempre letto che l’italiano non si adatta a questi generi.Non trovo in giro copertine della versione LP con su scritto VOLUME ONE
Un ipotesi potrebbe essere che la copertina del primo LP sia uguale al CDinteressante la storia sul come seven nation army sia diventata conosciuta a tutti i tifosi

The “No Seattle” compilation is the perfect snapshot of the music scene on the North West coast of the United States between the mid-Eighties and mid-Nineties.
Many bands were active in the Seattle area at the time and there were many kinds of music played by the various groups. On this double CD are the undergrowth of grunge, the ‘losers’ those who did not make it big, but who were also there while others were making a fortune.
In fact, in the line-up of The Ones we find, for example, Jack Endino, Skin Yard guitarist and current of Endino’s Earthworm – the architect of the sound of some classics like Bleach, Screaming Life, and Superfuzz Big Muff. In reality, however, there are a number of distinguished individuals present; Aaron Burckhard – earliest, forgotten drummer for Nirvana; Patty Schemel of Hole; Dan Peters of Mudhoney (also Nirvana; Kurt Danielson of Tad and many others.
There are 28 tracks which plunge you directly into the atmosphere of those year; hard rock, metal, new wave, industrial, country, garage, punk – a true melting pot. Certainly the two pieces by grunge style band Starfish from the mid-Nineties stand out, Nubbin with two songs that are – at times – reminiscent of Weezer; the garage-punk array of Thrillhammer (recorded with Steve Albini); plus Bundle of Hiss with the Wench, a heavy and irreverent song played by drummer Dan Peters, Jamie Lane on vocals and guitar plus bassist Kurt Danielson. Another good song is Fields by Chemistry Set inspired by the best of R.E.M., then there’s Magdalena by Calamity Jane – a good band in the classic style of late Eighties Riot Grrrl.
Soul Jazz Records has packaged this excellently as a double CD in a small box with a nice booklet of 44 pages packed with information, statements and biographies of the bands present and their songs. A purchase will definitely be recommended to all lovers of alternative rock and grunge.
