raga datemi una mano, mi e’ arrivata una mail che mi diceva che mi faceva notare imprecisioni nella sezione testi per quanto riguarda Verse Chorus Verse.
Il problema pero’ e’ che ho tentato di approfondire la cosa ma sto’ impazzendo, probabilmente il casino deriva dal fatto che Verse chorus Verse e’ stato usato per molte canzoni.

Io so che Sappy veniva chiamata anche Verse Chorus Verse, e questo e’ confermato anche dal cofanetto nel terzo cd c’e’ scritto 14. SAPPY (retitled Verse Chorus Verse for release) from 1993

Ma il fatto e’ che nel secondo CD c’e’ direttamente il pezzo 12. VERSE CHORUS VERSE – PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED from 1991
che ad orecchio non sembra proprio che usi le parole di Sappy. nella sezione testi ho il testo di In Is Hands/ In Is Rooms che anche viene chiamata Verse Chorus Verse, ma anche quello e’ diverso.

In poche parole il testo di Verse Chorus Verse del cofanetto che cavolo dice ?

Ho approfondito ulteriormente la questione, che finalmente ritengo definitivamente chiara.

1) La prima volta che si e’ usato il tiolo “Verse Chorus Verse” e’ stato come titolo alternativo per “In His Hands”, che aveva gia un ulteriore titolo alternativo “In Is Room”
2) La seconda volta che il titolo “Verse Chorus Verse” viene fuori e’ stato per rinominare Sappy, che pero’ alla fine apparve senza titolo sulla compilation “No Alternative”
3) Alla fine Kurt visto che non riusciva ad usare questo titolo in nessun modo, scrisse un pezzo che doveva essere inserito in Nevermind e che invece e’ poi uscito nel cofanetto WTLO.

Quindi con “Verse Chorus Verse” possiamo intendere ben tre canzoni diverse l’una dall’altra e con tre testi diversi.
Ma la vera “Verse Chorus Verse” e’ quella del cofanetto “With the Lights out”.

C’ è Sappy in una versione che non ho mai sentito con chitarra elettrica e Kurt alla voce senza basso e batteria, ma soprattutto è lentissima…è una figata

Sappy è la canzone migliore dei nirvana. La versione migliore è quella live nel 1989 con ancora chad;kurt si buttò atterra suonando l’assolo con una camicia scozzese che sapeva un botto di grunge
